A few weeks ago Nate and I decided to sign up for the salt lake city half marathon. http://www.saltlakecitymarathon.com/ This will be his first.I have a done 2 other halves and one full. But, he is in MUCH better shape than I am right now. His dad is a super marathon runner(he runs them in 3 hours and 30 minutes) and Im pretty sure Nate's either naturally disposed to it, or just has lower body fat! So, 2 weeks ago I started running for at least 3 miles a day, 6 days a week. Can I just say awesome? The first week was really hard for me. But this week has been really great! I am really starting to enjoy it again, and Im happy about that! Yesterday I ran 5 miles and I didn't want to stop. The only trouble is? Blisters. I bought some orthodics about 6 months ago from Dicks sporting goods. The sale's people (and everyone else) kept telling me I needed to just wear them in. But, they kept hurting my feet really bad. Well, after 2 days of continuing to run, this was the end result.
Pretty ugly huh? Thats okay though, moleskin seems to help a little. Anyway, Im excited to be back into running again. Hopefully this will help me get back into shape and keep me healthy. Its also a great opportunity to spend time with my husband. Wish us luck!
